Tea and Trsutees

Thank you to everyone who came to the Tea and Trustees day at the Dissenters' Chapel in Sutton Road Cemetery this week! We have had a wonderful response to our requests for trustees for the Friends Of Southend Cemeteries and have been able to chose an amazing first set of trustees to go forward with our application for charity status. FoSC also has enough qualified applicants of all ages to fill our 10 person board of trustees with local community members who have the experience, knowledge and drive to take forward the work of our organisation.

April 8th 2019 was a fabulous day between the rain showers and we were joined by a steady stream of friends new and old who wanted to find out more about the aims of the FoSC and some who were simply fascinated that the Dissenters' Chapel was open and popped in for some cake and a chat.

We will be holding events throughout the year and will keep you updated in the progress of the Friends of Southend Chapel's journey.
